Outlook 2011 - email message will not delete

i am running Outlook 2011 on iMac. I have an email that will not move or delete out of my inbox. When I check on my other synced devices (iphone and ipad) including Outlook web access, the email is not there !

Anybody help with this strange issue

This knowledge base article from Microsoft <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509> covers rebuilt Outlook 2011 Mac databases. Following the steps listed may clear up your trouble with the errant email.

Thanks for you advice. Unfortunately this has not removed the email message. Any other ideas ?
