Connecting two mac minis with arraysync

Post by clairedaviesntu » April 29th, 2015, 9:01 am

Hi, We're using two mac minis (for a total of 3 screens), but can't seem to connect the two. We're currently on a university network, and have tried connecting over the wifi and sharing both computers, for both cases it recognises the two macs, but it won't sync through arraysync and arraysync client, could it be permission issues? Or should it be quite easy to connect? In terms of setting up a client and a server, I'm not sure I've done that correctly, is there any advice you could give on how to do this? Thanks!

Typically when his happens it’s a firewall or router configuration issue that’s blocking either (or both) UDP and TCP ports 9201. These need to be open for ArraySync to work. Have you tried following the tutorial available at http://www.nasolab.com/arraysync/tutorial.html ?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

I used a crossover network cable and had issues until I turned wifi off. Then it worked like a charm!
