Baby Smash

All, I have a mac classic that i want to put a game called babysmash on for her toddler to play with. It's a cool game that responds with sounds and shapes when the baby hits any key. I believe this game is freeware. I can't find it in the archives here or on the net. Anyone have it or can tell me w...

Re: What does everybody think about the macbook air?

It's awesome of course. And I can't afford it of course. I just wish Apple would consider a lower cost lightweight laptop. I know the user experience for the Air will be awesome. I'm looking more at buying a Asus EEE but I and most people would gladly pay more for the Apple experience - just not tha...

Re: Best sub $500 consumer Mac

Ha ! Good advice, I should see if she goes for that !

Anyhoo, I think catching a mac mini refurb is the best idea for going forward. Looks like the Apple Store has them occasionally for $499.

Thanks

Re: Time Teacher v1.1.4

It's way cool that all this code is back online !

Hey thanks for releasing the app with no fee, there's still a lot of folks out there using older macs for teaching and home schooling.

Best sub $500 consumer Mac

Ok, bad news is my wife's office PC just died. Good news is she has agreed to a Mac replacement. Bad news is it must fit in the <500 range given that this would be what a replacement generic PC would cost (actually a generic piece o crap would cost even less than $500 but I didn't let her know that ...

Re: Best classic writing software for students

a little older, say 4th - 6th grade for my current project

although recommendations for other age ranges would be nice as I have a closet full of macs that I need to recondition and donate. A Mac classic and a stylewriter would make a nice addition to a elementary school classroom.

Best classic writing software for students

I am re-purposing a PB3400c and an old HP laserprinter into a writing "center" for my middle school age child. I have ClarisWorks5 but remember in the distant past a program called The Writing Center which may be more suitable for younger students.

Any recommendations ?

Thanks,
Rick

Congrats to Dan

Site looks great ! I'm really looking forward to using it both for my classic mac interest and well as OSX. As a developer I especially hope this site becomes useful to those, like myself, who find OSX a nice Unix environment for Python, Java, Ruby, etc. Check out the article announcing the re-launc...
