Re: Installation procedure for an XLR8 ZIF upgrade
you must be carful which ide hd you use.
you need an older ide 33 or maybe 66
but not a ide 133 your hd controller cant keep up with the drive. i had similar problems with my beige g3

Re: Leopard on Blue & White G3 w/G4 Upgrade?
well when does the b&w arrive.
I expect that the adb bus in the b&w may be part of the issue
has anyone have 10.5 running on a yikes g4 the only difference from it and a upgraded b&w would be the adb
just a thought

the b&w had this problem and also the yikes i belive but think it was fixed by the time of the apg. Worst case you can get a pci ide controller, they are faster and the issue is resolved. I have the sonnet tempo 133 in a b&w

Re: Resurrecting a Powerbook 520c
You should head over to info-macs sister site
system7today
look under the powerbook section. Their is a lot of info for these old machines.
most of the posts deal with the pb 1400 but the 520C is also found. I would say system 7.6.1 would run the best for this old powerbook
