Re: Latest iPhone software download
Do you mean to say that iTunes on your PC says the ringtones are on your phone? Can you post screenshots of both iTunes and your Sounds -> Ringtones settings panel?

Re: Bootcamp alternative?
Already downloaded the Windows 10 ISO and used Bootcamp to make it bootable but failed. I wouldn’t say it failed — it’s working exactly as expected. BootCamp’s sole purpose is to partition your startup disk and install Windows natively on your Mac with proprietary Apple drivers to support Apple har...

Re: Bootcamp alternative?
If you're trying to create Windows installation media for another PC, you can download a Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft and simply burn it using your DVD burner (if you have one).

Boot Camp requires a Windows partition on your Mac to work.

Re: Bootcamp alternative?
And how much free space is currently available on your Mac's startup disk? This is probably a sign that your storage is too full to be efficiently used with Boot Camp, which must have its own partition for Windows and of course, install a completely copy of Windows 10 onto it.

Re: Bootcamp alternative?
There really isn't any alternative to Boot Camp, which directly boots your Mac into Winodws. What are the errors you receive?
If you prefer, you can use virtualization solutions like Parallels or VirtualBox, however they're very slow. You're better off just picking up an inexpensive PC IMHO.

Re: write caching
I couldn't say for sure, this is a very specific technical question that I think you might find the answer in Apple's private developer forums (but you need a dev account to access those).

Re: write caching
I believe it is when a user logs out (and/or power off). Typically one doesn't have to think much about this very obscure setting, especially with SSDs. Are you experience a particular problem you are trying to solve?

Re: cd rw the big floppy
I don't think this is possible. Macs haven't shipped wit optical drives in many years since the USB stick has become cheap and ubiquitous. I would recommend just buying a USB stick. You can get a 32gb on Amazon for $7.

Re: ArraySync de-activating every time I run it
I'm not sure why that would work before but, definitely the changing network configs is what was causing the issue. The good news is I am finally at long last writing ArraySync's replacement which addresses many issues, and will also not have this serial activation system anymore. I'm making up a li...

Re: ArraySync de-activating every time I run it
The only reason that should be happening is if your network configuration has changed after activating, as the activation is tied to the MAC address of your active network interface. Is it possible that this is the case? Also the support email [email protected].com is still active. Which address were ...

Re: 4K UHD resolution compatible?
I am trying to finish up a working version in the next couple weeks that I can send you. Interested in beta testing? EDIT: Also wanted to clarify that you'll still have to use ProRes or another intermediate/production codec for best results, even with the new version. Syncing multiple H.264 videos s...

Re: 4K UHD resolution compatible?
Hello Naoto, Great question. Unfortunately as the current version of ArraySync relies on obsolete QuickTime APIs, 4k quite simply does not work very well. Some people have success, while others don't. You'll have to experiment for yourself. It definitely will not work with H.264 codec, you'll want t...

Re: Can I recover accidentally deleted logic Pro files on Mac?
TestDisk is the best free option but requires using the command line. Their website has a lot of good documentation and the result will be as good or better than any spyware solution. DiskDrill is probably the best reasonably priced option for payware. Unfortunately there is a metric crapton of sca...

Re: Macbook pro 2016 vs macbook pro 2012
Upgrading a 2012 MacBook Pro with an SSD can only (at best) allow the 2012 device to startup, open apps and manipulate files at a comparable speed to a 2016 MacBook (or possibly even faster if the 2016 has a traditional platter HD). As soon as you start using the CPU or GPU the 2016 will clearly be ...
