Re: Windows7 issues on an iMac 27" late 2012.

What 3D application is this out of curiosity? I know Windows 10 had a lot of problems at first, but it's been almost a year now and a lot of bugs and incompatibilities are worked out. Is Windows 10 not a free update in your area? You could always try it out and then switch back.

Re: Windows7 issues on an iMac 27" late 2012.

Is it possible that these problems could be solved with Windows 10? Windows 10 would contain a lot of native drivers for the hardware in a 2012 iMac that Windows 7 would not. Have you considered this possibility? For example USB 3 is specifically listed as a supported feature here: https://support.a...

Re: Troubleshooting stuttering video

Thank you for clarifying this for me. This now sounds like a codec issue. I have a hunch you might be using a delivery codec such as H.264. Try exporting a video to Apple Intermediate Codec (a production codec) and you should see better results. This will result in huge file sizes but much easier vi...

Re: Troubleshooting stuttering video

If your videos start playing for a few second and then start over, it might a router issue. Please make sure both UDP and TCP ports 9201 are open and not blocked by any sort of firewall. Sounds like the clients are making the initial connection to the server but not maintaining sync. Also another pr...

Re: Desktop Bug

Are you saving the photo file somewhere on your computer then setting it in System Preferences? Or are you right clicking on it in Safari and clicking “Use Image s Desktop Picture"? I find the latter sometimes doesn’t stay.

Re: synching 2 quicktimes

Yes, ArraySync is made just for this. Set ArraySync to Standard mode and drop each video file onto the particular display you want do see it on, then start the server.

If you haven’t done so already you need to disable spaces.

Re: Safari problem

10.7 is pretty outdated so you’re going to have problems visiting websites. Software Update will always give you the latest version of Safari compatible with your system, so you should never go and download it from somewhere else. If you somehow managed to install a newer version of Safari than is c...

Re: Autostart with power up/down of arraysync installation

Hi there. Can anyone tell me if there is a way of instead of using the scheduler of the mac-mini to just power up/down the complete installation instead? When i test this powering down the mac-mini, on start-up there is only one display (display 0) in the array sync display window even if the 2 scr...

Re: Autostart with power up/down of arraysync installation

I’m not sure what a double-HD file panned means. Your computer sees both displays as one large display? If so they will only show up in ArraySync as just one display.

Re: remote start button to play videos on arraysync

Hi there I was wandering if there is a way to remotely play the video files on arraysync. I am using the program for a performance on an exhibition setting. I need the videos to stop on an image (pause) and need to be able to play them from an external device. (for example spacebar on my keyboard)....

Re: Connect 4 screens with overlay

You can physically arrange the displays any way you like however the computers won’t be able to drive one big video stretched across them like that. Instead you’ll have to calculate the measurements yourself and make a video specific to each screen in Adobe Premiere or whatever program you prefer. I...

Some quick Googling reveals several products that integrate with the case screws at the bottom of the MacBook. Looks like your only option :/

Re: how to set a mac network

I noticed in your screenshots that the WiFi menu icon shows internet sharing to be turned on. You must disconnect/disable all network interfaces besides the primary one you plan to use, otherwise ArraySync may get confused as to which network is your “primary” network. You must connect both to the s...

Re: ArraySync Application for a video wall

Does Windows see 44 monitors or just 4? ArraySync will output to whatever Windows sees. It sounds like you’re just splitting each video signal to 11 outputs so that doesn’t really affect how ArraySync performs.

Re: ArraySync Application for a video wall

I guess I’m still confused here. I’m not sure what you mean by four groupings of monitors from one computer? And what you mean by supplying the video player? ArraySync is the video player. Have you tried just running the demo? Maybe it’ll be self-explanatory enough that you can sort it out!

ArraySync doesn't use any 3D acceleration, only video acceleration, so there's probably a point where a more expensive graphics card just isn't gonna help.

Re: Audio across multiple screens.

Is it possible to have all speakers (each screen has built-in speakers) to play audio from single selected video and they would stay in sync, while each screen display its own video? Yes, you can have only one of the videos play audio while the rest are silent. If all the speakers are attached to t...

Re: Audio across multiple screens.

In your first case you'd simply disable the audio for all but one of the screens. ArraySync let you choose which videos will play audio and which to silence. As for your second question, no that is not possible even from a hardware standpoint. ArraySync will not recognize multiple audio outputs -- t...
