The shareware version of MacPlay's Descent, a game by Parallax Software,
is now available. Descent is a fast-action 3D game in which you pilot
your hoverjet through mine tunnels in zero gravity in a mission to
destroy each mine in a series of 30 missions. You can play network
or modem games with up to eight players. The shareware version of
the game lets you play the first three levels with most of the game's
weaponry enabled, and one mode of network play enabled.

Descent requires any Power Macintosh (or compatible) computer with a
13" or larger color monitor and 7000K free memory. (3000K of this
free memory may be virtual memory.) You'll need 8000K free memory to
play a multiplayer game.

For optimal play, we recommend the fastest Power Macintosh available
with 10000K free memory, with virtual memory off. Most Descent players
enjoy playing the game with a joystick. If you happen to have a
Macintosh computer with a PowerPC 604, you are in a world of high-res
happiness.

Enjoy,
