Folx (currently in beta stage) is a free download manager for Mac OS. It
downloads any file via HTTP, HTTPS, FTP directly or via proxy just in
several clicks and at maximum speed possible no matter what browser you
use. With Folx you will be able to download not only separate files, but
the whole folders with all the contents via FTP.
It increases the download speed by splitting downloads into multiple
threads downloaded simultaneously and gives the full control over them.
The main features of the Folx downloader are: auto-resuming file
transfer, scheduling and prioritizing downloads, all Mac OS browsers
integration and much more.
Plus, Folx has a smart folder organization system. It allows to add
several tags to the same file and this file will be sorted and
categorized by these tags. All the downloads are stored in one
searchable list and can be found via Spotlight.
