Tiny PIM is a simple address book and calendar application with some nice
features:
+ Address, phone, internet and date storage
+ Hot buttons for instant URL and email access
+ Address searches by any combination of fields
+ Configurable event calendar which can be exported as graphics files
+ An importable set of events (American holidays) for the calendar
+ Flexible import/export of addresses and events
+ Event/date reminder application
+ Print an entire address book or just the results of a search
+ Interface windows and calendar have (separate) custom color controls

Version 1.3.1 fixes a couple small bugs related to address searches.

There is a 68K version available at the MR Stuff home page
.

Subject: [*] Virtual Composer 2.8.9

Virtual Composer is a graphical linear music sequencer which can output
to a variety of formats. (Internal, abc, AIFF, MIDI). It interfaces
directly with Phil Taylor's abc program BarFly and is a 27 Euros ($25)
shareware.

What's new in version 2.8.9:

*Relaxed tuplet tying restrictions. Tuplets can now be tied either
alone or in combination with regular notes. If a tie involves tuplets
the collapsing algorithm will not activate.
*Gestalt for Color Picker now a bit more accurate.
*Added complete Partita #5. (Courtesy of JCL. See credits).
*Added instructions in the VC Manual on how to create chords.
*Corrected small bug where ornaments would not animate correctly.

Subject: audio stream recording software?

Folks;

Please forgive if this is a FAQ. Does anyone know of any audio recording
software that will havndle web streams, similar to TotalRecorder for the
Windoze world, for the classic MacOS? (Basically, this software creates a
driver that sits between the machine and the audio subsystem, "stealing"
anything headed for the subsystem and writing it to disk first before sending
it on its way.) I've been recording external outputs since the Mac Plus and
MacRecorder (all those who remember then, sigh for your lost youth), but I'm
wondering if there's a way to record some real-time web streams when I'm out
for later listening. (Yeah, I'm talking about time-shifting Internet
radio...go figure.) Freeware, shareware, or commercial is fine, doesn't
matter.

I will cheerfully summarize for the list, if there's enough information.

Charlie

Go to "Control Panels -> AppleTalk" and select the Ethernet card for
your AppleTalk connection.

Best wishes, Christian.
