Version 3.0 of Sound Manager.
Your Mac must be able to play stereo 16 bit audio at 44100.
A monitor capable of displaying 1000's of colours.
A sense of fun!

Short Description:
CellSynth is a software synthesiser, MP3 and AIFF sample player, DSP
processor & sequencer combined

Description:
Sync Different! CellSynth addresses several of the main areas in computer
music, notably audio synthesis, audio sequencing, sample manipulation, audio
processing and automation sequencing. Unlike many of the more conventional
software synthesisers on the market, it is compact and easy to use, and does
not require detailed synthesis knowledge.

Its efficient design means that all functions operate in real-time with low
latency, allowing it to be used in a live environment with MIDI keyboards or
other MIDI sources. All output can be recorded to disk for use in other
software such as MOTU's Digital Performer, EMagic's Logic or Steinberg's
Cubase VST.

CellSynth is unusual in catering for both musical beginner and expert alike.
Whilst the program is easy and intuitive to use, with an on-line manual and
tutorial, those with prior knowledge of synthesis are not left frustrated -
Best of all it's shareware!

Subject: [*] EjectDisk 3.2 - Eject disks of all types with a single key!

EjectDisk is an extremely useful utility. With the touch of a key you can eject any removable media from your computer, ranging from the humble floppy to the latest DVD. You can even open and close the CD/DVD tray, and automatically eject a CD at shutdown. EjectDisk is similar to the Command-Y function of the Finder in function only--unlike that command, EjectDisk can evict storage from your desktop from within any program, and you don't have to select the disk beforehand.

EjectDisk 3.2 adds support for a number of CD-ROM drives which EjectDisk failed to work with in the past. It also increases the number of drives you can individually specify (from 4 to 12), and fixes a bug which could cause EjectDisk to miss disks when ejecting all disks of a particular type.

Haxial DiskCatalog is a utility for cataloging CDs, hard disks, folders,
and any other type of disk. It allows you to browse the contents of
disks without having to find them and insert them into your computer.
More importantly, you can search all of your disks at once (again without
having them in the computer), and DiskCatalog will display a list of all
the files found, and their location. When you're looking for a file and
you don't know where it is, this is much easier than manually searching
all your disks. DiskCatalog is designed to be very fast -- search
results usually appear instantly.

DiskCatalog is available for:
MacOS 9 or better (with CarbonLib 1.3.1+).
MacOS X (10).
Windows 95 or better.

HTML-Optimizer 5.5.2

What it is: Utility to check and optimize your web pages to make them load
faster.
Author: Ton Brand
Company: Ton's Software
License: Shareware US$10
Computer: PowerPC, iMac or iBook
Mac OS: 7.5.3 or later
Abstract:
HTML-Optimizer is the ideal tool for managing your web site. It checks your
web pages for broken links and dangling tags and optimizes both text and
graphic files.
The program offers 5 functions plus a number of useful options that make
working with HTML-Optimizer very easy. Especially the new 'duplimize'
feature comes in handy for uploading an optimized web folder. The program
has a built-in Manual and Balloon Help is supported too.
The five basic functions of HTML-Optimizer are:
1. Optimizing HTML code by removing unnecessary characters and tags, which
results in faster loading of your pages in your client's browser.
Client-side and server-side JavaScript can be optimized too. Graphic file
resources, which are of no use on the web, are removed, saving 10 to 80 % of
space.
2. Checking the so called tagged pairs, i.e. the tags that always have to
appear together with their end tags. Further, IMG tags are checked for
Width, Height and Alt attributes. Missing attributes are added with values
which are automatically detected.
3. Checking the validity of the internal hyperlinks, 8 levels deep.
4. Marking dangling tags and missing attributes to find and fix them
quickly.
5. Converting special characters to the &....; notation.
In version 5.5.2 the alert about Mac OS X has been adapted so that users who
have Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 located on one and the same volume or partition,
can continue to use HTML-Optimizer if they have started up their computer
with Mac OS 9.

Sounds like a file corruption problem. Two suggestions:
1) Throw away the General Control Prefereces File (System
Folder:Preferences), you may also want to throw away the Finder
Preferences. This will probably fix the immediate problem, step 2
should be done regularly in any case.

2) Groom your System with whatever utilities you have:
a) Disk First Aid
b) Norton Utilities
c) DiskWarrior

If you don't have TechTool, download it from www.micromat.com and
rebuild your desktop (this is better than holding down command-option
at startup because it rebuilds it from scratch)

MAC partition on a NT PC????

Please help.

I need to set-up a MAC partition on a NT machine. This MAC partition
will only contain data. The machine does not have to run any MAC OS. It
is currently being used as a proxy/mail server.

The machine specs are:
Gigabyte GA-7VXMM motherboard, AMD Duron 800 MHz, 256 Meg Dimm Ram, 20
Gig Hd, Win NT 4 Workstation, SP 5, Realtek chipset 10/100 PCI network
card.

The machine must still boot NT and run the Proxy, but the MAC partition
must be accessible via the network. The proxy is installed on a 4 Gig
NTFS partition. The other 16 Gig of the hard drive is not being used.

Please help.

I know NT fairly well, but I know absolutely NOTHING about MAC.

Please help.

Thank you.
