Subject: 3 ATA drives in older G4?

Is it possible to install 3 ATA drives on an older (end of 1999) Sawtooth G4
450?

The problem is that bus cables have only 2 ends. I also have internal zip
and DVD ROM drives.

Can anyone point me to any useful links? I couldn't find my way round
Apple's confusing knowledge base.

Please reply privately.

When my Titanium is plugged in to 220V I get a continual mild shock
from the bottom half - the area surrounding the keyboard, the sides

This does not happen when I am using the battery.

It has gotten to the point that I cannot use the Titanium while
plugged in. Resting it on my bare knees was quite unpleasant (to say
the least).

A friend is experiencing the exact same problem.

The power supply is two-prong, and therefore not grounded. Neither is
the Titanium.

Does anyone know about this problem?

Does anyone know a solution?

Hi:

In response to your question at Info-Mac. the answer is "no". Mac OS
9.1 does not insist on an Internet link being active at any time. You
can turn it on or off as you want it.

Perhaps you should be checking Eudora's Settings (Special Menu,
Settings...), and within that, the Internet Dialup box. Here, you'll
find two checkboxes. The second one is the one you're looking for.

Of course, things may vary slightly between the version of Eudora
you're using and the one I have. But this box essentially says that
it's okay for Eudora to connect to the Internet to check mail, but
should automatically disconnect thereafter.

HTH.
