Subject: [*] FileBuddy 6.1.4J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the FileBuddy package.

File Buddy is quite simply the most powerful and popular high-level file
utility available for your Macintosh.

File Buddy 6 requires a PowerPC-based Macintosh with System 7.6 or
later. File Buddy 5 is available for 68K Macintoshes. The latest Japanese
release of the carbon version of File Buddy (File Buddy 7)
can be downloaded from .

*View and edit a wide range of file and folder information in the info
window.
*Create droplet applications that automatically apply changes to items
dropped on them, including the contents of folders.
*Find files and folders using an extensive set of search criteria.
Enhance file searches with plug-ins that extend file search capabilities.
Conveniently perform a wide variety of actions on found items. Make File
Buddy your default file finding application using the File Buddy CP
control panel.
*Modify the names of multiple files at once. For example, remove ".txt"
from the names of a group of files.
*Much, much more...

Changes and fixes in this version:

Changes
*Some minor improvements "under the hood."

Fixes
*Clicking the Cancel button in the Unattached Aliases window would
cause File Buddy to hang if any aliases had been assigned new targets
but hadn't been updated to them. Fixed.

*Find Unique Files would report that there were no unique files if all
files checked were unique. Fixed. If any duplicates were found during
the check, unique files were reported correctly.

*A couple of other minor fixes for cosmetic issues and problems that
have never been reported, but could affect some users.

Subject: [*] Free Backup 2.2

Backs up any files and folders on any disks to any location(s) you choose,
in Finder format or Stuffit archives. Make any number of duplicates of Free
Backup - each will keep its own list of items to back up, where to back
them up to and which format to use. Automatically email or distribute
backups, back up multiple sources to multiple destinations at once,
maintain a set number of backups in a destination and delete older backups,
back up at an automatic interval. Unmatched flexibility and ease of use.

New in version 2.2: includes an extension to transfer a backup list from
one copy of Free Backup to a second, and an extension to check the number
of archives in a folder, deleting older ones in excess of a maximum you've
set. The Timer extension now runs any number of other extensions (or any
applets or compiled AppleScripts) at any interval. Also fixes the Keep
Number of Archives extension to delete only Stuffit archives made by Free
Backup, as distinguished by file type and naming protocol.

A new extension makes updating from earlier versions quick and easy.

Requires the Akua Sweets scripting addition. OS versions earlier than 8.5
also require the GTQ Scripting Additions. Stuffit options require the
Stuffit Commands scripting addition. All of these are free for personal use.

Subject: [*] RegEx Commands OSAX

Adds to your scripting system (normally AppleScript) the ability to perform
searches and replaces in blocks of text using a technique called regular
expressions. The RegEx Docs.pdf file contains details of the regular
expressions that are supported and numerous examples of how to use them.

RegEx Commands is free, and runs native on PPC systems. Authors Leonard
Rosenthol and Lindsey Dubb permit unlimited distribution. Further info
available at Leonard's web site, http://www.lazerware.com/.

Subject: [*] RNDSND 1.1

RNDSND is a small AppleScript Applet which can be edited in ScriptEditor
and tailored to one's liking. RNDSND simply chooses one of the four
included System 7 sound files and plays it. The sound files can easily
be replaced, just be sure to rename the files (and/or edit the Applet)
to ensure the applet works as intended, especially if the RNDSND folder
is moved. The Applet is currently configured to look for the folder
within the System Folder.

RNDSND is being released as freeware, although I would appreciate an
e-mail to have an idea of how many people find this Applet useful - or
at least interesting. RNDSND may be freely distributed via any medium,
so long as the Applet and the original four sound files are included.

Subject: [*] Warm Fuzzies - a non-violent action game for Mac OS X.

Warm Fuzzies is a one-player action game. The idea is, there are warm
fuzzies and cold pricklies. Warm fuzzies are happy and nice, while
cold pricklies are mean and consequently very sad. You are somewhere
in between, like most people, but you want to make the world a
happier place by turning cold pricklies into warm fuzzies. Get the
love on each level and then blow kisses to the cold pricklies to turn
them into warm fuzzies - but be sure not to touch a cold prickly or
you'll turn into one! Warm fuzzies will also turn into cold pricklies
if they touch them, due to peer pressure. You get bonus points after
each level for speed and saving on kisses.

Warm Fuzzies requires Mac OS X. It has been tested on OS X 10.1 but
should work on 10.0.x

The Warm Fuzzies web page is at http://acronyms.co.nz/software/warmfuzzies.html
