Sound like time to "groom" your system using disk utilities, I use a
variety, they do different things.
Disk First Aid
Norton Utilities
DiskWarrior
TechToolPro

Whichever you have, make sure it is up to date!! After you run your
disk utility of choice, recommend you use TechTool v1.2.1 (freeware)
to rebuild the desktop folder. This is different than holding down
command-option because it builds it from scratch.

Have you tried HP for an updated driver?

I strongly recommend GraphicConverter, shareware, the only
application you will need for manipulating images. Of course just to
open the file you could use AppleWorks and numerous other programs
(e.g Word, PowerPoint). Open the application, then open the files.

You don't just think about „, ÷, ’ and similar things, do you?

>Is there, perhaps, a font with all the characters overbar-ed and overdot-ed?

I don't know one, but you could design your own (by modifying an
existing font) if you have Fontographer.

As an alternative, put your question on .

Sorry that I can't help more. Best wishes, Christian.

It is called "video mirroring" as in the output on one device *exactly*
matches the other. So if you are running a projector at 800X600 then your
screen size must also be 800x600. OK?

I think this is normal behaviour. Since you can't "mirror" 1152 x 768
on the projector, the internal screen only displays what can be seen
on the other. And when your internal screen runs at 1152 x 768, it
needs to somehow adjust the picture - the result is a black frame
around it. You could set your internal screen to the same resolution
as the projector, and it would be using the whole available screen.

Best wishes, Christian.
