Subject: [*] QIF Convert 1.9 - Adding Categories to QIF Files Based on Description

QIF Convert converts Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) banking or
credit card transaction files, adding Quicken categories based on the
description of each transaction. It is useful for converting QIF
downloaded from online banking or credit card web sites before
importing them into Quicken. To convert a QIF file, just drop it
onto QIF Categories.

You can configure QIF Categories as a browser helper application for
files of type application/qif to have it invoked automatically on
downloaded QIF files.

QIF Convert converts each transaction in the QIF file by: 1) Deleting
any existing category, and adding a category associated with the
transaction's description; 2) Removing the plus sign from transaction
amounts (because not all versions of Quicken allow plus signs); 3)
Optionally adding an indication that the transaction has cleared; 4)
Optionally extracting a check number from the description (unless the
transaction already has a check number) and using it as the check
number that Quicken will recognize; 5) Optionally changing the
description and category to values associated with the combination of
the original description and the amount; and 6) Optionally allowing
you to confirm the transaction, where the description and/or category
can be changed, or the transaction can be deleted. You have the
option of store transactions from one ore multiple accounts in the
same output file.

System requirements:
* System 7.5.3 through 9.1

For more information, please read the documentation enclosed, or
visit the QIF Convert Web page:

'Verbs&Nouns'. You can use 'V&N Lookup' while you are working with other
text-based applications because it searches for any word that you copy to
the clipboard. Depending on which modules you have, 'V&N Lookup' can locate
similar words in several languages at the same time. It can check the

Subject: green flash on trinitron?

Hi there

I have a trinitron TV which seems to be having the same green flash symptoms
as your trinitron monitor was having back in June

I read your post here:

I would really appreciate any info you have on this problem now. What
happened to your monitor?

Subject: Importing WP 9 Win to MS Word 98 Mac

I want to import a WordPerfect Win 9 document into MS Word 98 Mac. I
have MacLink Plus, which will translate the doucment fine. But I would
like to add the WP Win 9 converter directly to Word 98.

Does anyone know where I can locate the Word converter for WP Win 9?
Thanks/Roger+

For those with older Macs that just cant find programs to run on them
ftp://www.newnan.cc/mac/Florida_OnLine

Years ago I ran a BBS called Florida OnLine it was one of the largest of its kind, now with the Internet files, programs and apps are easy to get any where, But! Can you still find the old or older ones (1986 to 1994) if you still have a 68k Macintosh that has the 68000 Motorola chip 020, 030, 040 here is a list of programs that will run on it, I found a back up of my old system and figured I would put them up, I know some one is out there looking for this stuff, Email me and let me know if this helped any, there are still millions of these older Macs running in businesses & homes everywhere, and get this!
Most All of these programs still run on my G4 500 PPC and to this day still use some of them.
We are still doing kinda the same thing as then on a different level :)

Here is the FTP site to download anything you want, at last count there was over 3000 files in this folder
ftp://www.Newnan.cc/mac have at it
If I find more later I will add them too, If you like what you find Paypal.com me $1 or whatever and I will keep this stuff coming.....

Well, you can myke your own, as I did:

1) Download the infomac digests from your nearest mirror
2) Download the EasyView software
3) Search the files

(or you can use BBEdit to use all files in a directory).

No, I don't know any better solution, Sorry.

Christian.

Subject: trouble with Excel

Hello>

I am unable to change the headers or footers in Excel (Office '98 version).
When I try to do so, after header or footer changes have been made and I
press enter, I get a bleep ï the usual alert for non-performance of a
command. What I do is this: I go to Page setup under the file menu and then
hit on the headers and footers tab. I next hit the custom header button and
in the new dialogue box I make the changes that I want. When I press enter I
get the bleep. Something is obviously up since I cannot see the 'Yes' or
'Cancel' buttons. I can only get out of the box by pressing the escape
button on the keyboard (the usual key for a 'cancel' command). Though I
can't remember precisely, I recall that there are other boxes where I don't
see the 'yes' and 'cancel' buttons, (and I am not sure that they are in
Office), but pressing enter or escape achieves the result I want in those.
There is obviously something corrupted, but I don't know what. I have
another system on an internal HD; when I boot up from that one the problem
does not arise. I've done a check with TechTool Pro but nothing comes up.
It's frustrating! Any ideas?

Thanks,
>Ezra
