Mimic is a "Simon" type memory game with a unique round window.
Repeat the progressively increasing sequences
by mouse clicks or keyboard control.

Mimic displays your current game's progress,
keeps track of your High Score for the Session,
and once registered, remembers the Record High Score
and your selection from the Sound menu.

Choose from five different styles of tones.

You can always get the latest version of Mimic from Echozone Software at:
http://www.echozone.com/software.html

Wraps text at the line length you specify, prepending each line with a
symbol such as ">" that you specify. Also does the reverse. Make any number
of copies for different lengths and symbols, or without symbols to just
wrap and unwrap text. Applescript applets easily updated for OS X.

Free.

I work with audio on the Mac daily and try out most of
the software released. So far as I know, there is no
such software *for the Mac* (there is some on the PC
side) available publicly. Of course, streaming audio
is not meant to be intercepted... that's part of the
value for customers of, for example, RealNetwork's
product. It would take a skillful hack to accomplish.

You can, of course, record the audio outputs of your
Mac (if it has any!). Rather than "hang a mike next to
a speaker", you'd get better results with a direct
connection to your tape inputs. This might require an
attenuator (Rat Shack) if your recorder only has mike
connections.

Another place to try for Newer Tech software is Other World Computing's website, in particular:

Hello all,

I just thought I'd let you all know that, before Newer Technology went out
of business, I created a mirror of NewerTech's site here:

http://technojunkie.org/~berniec/www.newertech.com/

I just recently added a support forum, so feel free to post in there.

Thanks,
Bernie
