This is the Japanese version of the Keyboard Maestro package.
An essential utility for anybody who works on their Mac, Keyboard Maestro

This is the latest edition (Jan 1, 2002) of the Mac-site-list and should
replace version 4.7.3 of the Mac-Site-list.
The Mac-Site-list lists over 110 mac anonymous ftp sites (some with notes),
over 100 Mac web pages, and contains some instructions on how to use anonymous
ftp and find files as well a format chart showing which programs decompress
and decode which files. Also there is a section on how to use certain files.
This Stuffit Deluxe 6.0 archive contains both the text and html versions of
the Mac-Site-list.
To ensure that the columns in the Format Chart section line up correctly the
document's text must be in a monospaced typeface such as Courier, Monaco,
or a PC equivalent.
Permission is given for this program to be included on the Info-Mac CD-ROM.

There is a package called PowerPrint that includes a cable and
software, I used it to go from a USB computer to a serial printer.
Amazon.com has some versions on sale, but I don't think they will
help, also don't ship outside the US for some reason.

I've had similar problems. I've found if I select the laserwiter 8
icon in the chooser it prints just fine.

There appears to be an incompatibity between Adobe Acrobat 5.0

the HP DesignJet 755CM on Macintosh computers. The Mac is a G4 running
OS9.2. The HP driver was downloaded from the HP website (www.hp.com).
There
is only one driver to download for the 755 (HP Designjet printer
driver
4/17/97). When attempting to print a PDF file created by Adobe Canvas
7.0
via ethernet connection, the data would seem to be transmitting to the
printer (green light on printer blinking) but then the computer would
lock
up. Removing the ethernet connection and restarting would allow the
computer to cancel the job and the computer would operate normally. If
restarted without disconnecting ethrenet the computer would restart
and
still be locked up. Microsoft Word would print normally on the printer
using the HP driver. Acrobat would print on a HP8100 using the generic
driver. Canvas 7.0 would print the same file on the 755 with no
problems.

I've recently gone from System 8.6 to System 9.2, and I notice that I can
no longer drag items from one place in a list to another (for example,
e-mails in Eudora). Does anyone know if this a bug or a feature? Is there a
workaround?

I had a Quicktime delay that was fixed by removing extension "ATI Video
Accelerator"
A Mac Help delay was fixed by removing another one of the ATI
extensions.
ATI are apparently display hardware cards used in some Macs.
Apple System Profiler, Devices and Volumes will show whether
you have any ATI devices (perhaps also called ATY). If you don't,
remove these extensions.

Hi there,
my mom has an older iMac with a combo CD/DVD-ROM Drive and MacOS 9.2.1.
Last year in the summer there was a small fire in the house and the
computer was covered with smoke. A company specializing in fire damage
repair cleaned the computer and it now looks like brand new (they really
did an awesome job!). However, the CD-Drive has been acting up on some
CDs ever since. We think it is the optical sensor that is damaged from
the smoke. The insurance is willing to pay for the replacement of the
drive.
Ok, now here is the question: One thing my mom has always missed is the
ability to burn CDs. We were on the verge of buying an external USB or
FireWire CD-Burner. However, with the new SuperDrive in the new iMacs a
tempting thought has popped up: Would it be possible to replace the
internal CD/DVD-ROM Drive of the iMac with a SuperDrive? As I said, the
insurance would pay for the replacement of the current drive, we would
only have to pay for the extra the SuperDrive costs in excess of just a
CD/DVD-ROM Drive.
Even if the drive did fit sizewise, are drivers available that run under
OS 9.2.1? If a SuperDrive doesn't work, how about just the DVD/CD-RW
Drive of the new Combo iMac?
If drivers are not available for MacOS 9.2.1, how hard is it to install
MacOS 10.1 on the older iMacs?

Hi
I have a Power Mac 6100/66AV on which, till now, I have never wanted
to use the Ethernet connection. Now I'm planning to (I don't have
the other machine yet), but when I select "Connect via Ethernet" in
the AppleTalk control panel, I get an error dialogue:
"An error occurred attempting to use Ethernet. Make sure your
network connections are correct."
Is this only because there's nothing to see at the other end of the
connection, or could it be that there's something wrong with my
machine?

Subject: powering up scsi after mac is running
Hi,
I feel sort of foolish, this seems like a really ridiculous question-
In the past, I was told that once you've started your Mac, if you then
want to access a SCSI drive that wasn't turned on when you started the
Mac, you had to shut down, power up the SCSI drive, and power up the
Mac. Is this true?
I would have tried it, but I was afraid of some power surge that would
hurt the Mac from the SCSI suddenly being powered up. (see, I said I
felt foolish!) I know that I would probably have to mount the scsi
drives (I have several on a daisy chain), but that's OK. I'm concerned
about an electrical shock-type event that would fry my mac.
I have a beige G3, running system 8.6.

Only in OS X I suspect, it will use VM automatically. Not sure why
you would want to turn on VM in OS9 with 1GB RAM, just slows things
down
