Os 9.1 or 9.2 does need another extension and control panel,
currently, with os x classic not using this particular extension to mount
the cd (duely reported by me to Apple and Springer, so they will use a more
universal cd format---the file names aren't all that long to use this
microsoft format).
Ray Thompson, a buddy from a local Apple computer club, told me
about Joliet and I found it with Sherlock 2.

Subject: [*] 1.4 UPDATE of Email Magician.sit

This is a Stuffit archive of Email Magician 1.4 for Eudora« (Mac),
the one-button solution to managing your email from YAV Interactive
Media, the company that produced the internet power-tool MetaTag
Manager, and developed LEGO's award-winning first CD-ROM. The
software automatically creates filters, mailboxes, and nicknames
(address book entries) with one click. You can generate hundreds of
filters in the time it takes to construct one manually. Email
Magician creates mailboxes to go with your new filters, and can also
add new nicknames to your address book corresponding to your new
mailboxes.

This "Swiss Army Knife" for Eudora« includes powerful spam filtering
and comes with well over a hundred spam filters. Email Magician lets
you organize and edit your filters, mailboxes, and nicknames too. The
program also offers one-click archiving of mailboxes, as well as
automated archiving of messages within mailboxes exceeding a
specified message limit, or of entire mailboxes that haven't been
modified within a certain time-period.

Version 1.3 automatically collects spammer addresses from your spam
box, or other holding area with a single click. Email Magician uses
this ever-growing collection to generate new four new types of spam
filters so you won't be bothered by such message clutter again. These
new spammer address filters supplement the nearly 200 existing
subject-based spam filters included with Email Magician.

Version 1.4 adds FileMaker export options, including stripping html
tags in the export process.

Email Magician introduces an intelligent Urgent Filter note-pad where
you jot down phrases and email addresses that tell Email Magician to
override existing filters and gather all your "to do" items into a
single mailbox for quick disposition.

Email Magician automates many email "house-cleaning" chores one
performs periodically -- besides message and mailbox archival, the
software offers deletion of empty mailboxes and "orphan-filters,"
meaning filters targeting missing mailboxes, creation of filters
and/or mailboxes for all nicknames in your address books, creation of
"group" addresses for use with Eudora's "Intersects Nickname"
options, and much more.

This file may be included on the commercially available CD-ROM of the archives.

Don't try to interpret it. As you use Firefly you will begin to
understand. It will sooth and relax you as you learn to simply accept.

Play with it. There's really nothing more. There's no need to describe
exactly "what" the buttons do because you can see.

Source Notes:
The source code is available in Firefly's package. Control-click the
Firefly icon and select "Show Package Contents". Firefly will be opened
as a folder. Open the "Source" folder to access the source code.

Subject: [*] Keyboard Maestro 1.0.2J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the Keyboard Maestro package.

An essential utility for anybody who works on their Mac, Keyboard Maestro
perform many different tasks simply by pressing a few keys. Keyboard
Maestro allows you to spend more time working and less time mousing and
clicking and typing to get the work done. Keyboard Maestro has built into it
three core features to make working on the Mac much simpler: Hot Keys,
Program Switcher, and Clipboard Switcher.

The Hot Key feature enables you to define any number of user configurable
actions simply by pressing a keystroke. Hot Key actions include quitting,
hiding, or activating applications, inserting text, executing an Apple or UNIX
Script, opening files or folders, and so much more. All hot keys can
optionally be targeted to specific applications, allowing the hot key to be
active only when you find it most useful.

Keyboard Maestro incorporates the wildly popular Classic MacOS application
switching utility, Program Switcher. In fact, Keyboard Maestro was written
by the author of Program Switcher. With the Program Switcher feature, you
are able to launch, switch, hide, and quit applications with a simple
keystroke. Keyboard Maestro brings to MacOS X what Classic Mac users have
been enjoying since 1994 - the most refined application switching utility
there is!

Keyboard Maestro also has the extremely useful clipboard utility Clipboard
Switcher built in. Clipboard Switcher allows you to define any number of
clipboards which you can use to copy to and paste from simply by pressing a
keystroke. Clipboards are automatically saved through system restarts and
user logouts, and always available when you need them.

Changes in version 1.0.2:

*Hot Keys now allow the following keys to be used with no modifiers:
escape, page up, page down, home, end, help forward delete
*Editing hot key names and keystrokes enabled in the main window (click
the name or keystroke to edit)
*New Hot Key: Execute UNIX script hot key (e.g., shell script, perl
script)
*Main Window is now resizable, and the resizing is remembered
*Finished the hot key with 'A' bug I started fixing in v1.0.1 :-/
*You can now cancel clipboard switcher with the escape key
*Compiled Apple Scripts in the data fork are now selectable for the
"Execute Apple Script" hot key

PolyRoot is a companion application to RPN Calculator. It is freeware.
PolyRoot, as its name suggests, tackles the problem of finding polynomial
roots. It can quickly find roots of polynomials from degree 1 to 10.
Also, coefficients may be real or complex. The root-finding algorithms
are pretty robust, and should provide useful results in most every
situation. The Classic and X builds are functionally identical, but the
X build is sized for better appearance in the high resolution,
anti-aliased environment found in MacOS X.

What is QuickTrash and How do you use it?
QuickTrash is a Droplet that stays in the ToolBar of Finder Window.
Once installed, it appears in every Finder Window opened.
In order to move selected files or folders to the Trash, first select
the files or folders as normally you would.
Then one click on the QuickTrash icon will do the job. Just one click.
Alternate way of doing it is to drag the items and drop them into the
QuickTrash icon.
This is essentially the same as having the Trash on every Finder Window.

Why use QuickTrash?
Have you ever been tired of dragging files or folders to the Trash in
order to delete them? Did you drop them many times in the wrong folder
or in the dock while you are on the way to Trash? Sure, there is a
contextual Finder menu with control key that you can use to "Move to
Trash". This still requires two hands.

Contact
QuickTrash reqires MacOS X. QuickTrash is a Freeware and thanks to the
wonderful ProjectBuilder from Apple Computer, Inc. However, the idea of
such application is original and the author had it for a long time. If
you like the application, please express it by sending me a postcard. I
would love to hear any comments and suggestions.

also leverages some basic MacOS technologies like the clipboard and drag

I would like to write a rule that matches a bunch of keywords

As far as I can tell, you have to write a separate rule for every

The same question applies to Sherlock. The old version let you create
multiple selectors for filename, so you could search for files named
"Hello" && ".Java". I can't find a way to search for AND/OR criterion
on the same field anymore.

Thanks for any pointers.
