Subject: ACDSee Not bad but I prefer Graphic Converter

Tried ACDSee to manage pictures. Bought this same program for PC and it is
very good. However, on my Mac, ACDsee was sssllllooowww despite having a G3
with a lot of memory. It is like the program was doing a catalog of the
pictures. I also got a crash. With Graphic Converter, it is very fast to
visualize folders of pictures and do some maintenance.

I have been using Graphic Converter for years, paid the shareware and the
registration number is still working with all new versions. A real bargain!

Subject: strange problem - won't startup from CD

Stuart,

I had a similar problem trying to boot from my Norton Utilities CD. In my case
the Apple Tech Support folks said that my problem was that my NUM was too old
for my OS. The version of my NUM was 3.5 (current is 6.0) and I am running OS
9.1. I can still run the NUM utilities, but I can't boot from the CD. I don't
know whether this is your situation but it's a possibility to explore.
