Subject: [*] CopyPaste-X 1.3

CopyPaste is the original award winning multiple clipboard utility and with
the release of version 1.3 it is better then ever.

It can be downloaded from versiontracker.com
http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo. ... 795&db=mac
or from:
http://www.scriptsoftware.com

CopyPaste is the digital hub for clipboard material and many other kinds of
data. It is easy to use, saves time and allows you to do less and accomplish
more. Try it and see how critical a clipboard manager is for OS X.

New Features in Version 1.3 :

Ñ CopyPaste now can open RTF files
Ñ CopyPaste now can save RTF files
Ñ CopyPaste allows to use variable tabs by simply clicking into the Ruler.
Ñ CopyPaste can automatically save copied text to an archive by typing
command-hotkey-c. The preferences allow setting this hotkey. The Archive can
be opened by a button on the main toolbar
Ñ The Clipboard Recorder can now be used in the stack mode. I.e. by typing
command-hotkey-v the pasted clip gets removed from the first place in the
recorder. We call this Clip Revolver. The preferences allow setting this
hotkey.
Ñ CopyPaste can now create a list of all words in a given text. You can
limit the list to show only email addresses or URLs or words that contain a
user defined substring. The number of occurrences for each word can also be
displayed.
Ñ CopyPaste can sort a list of words with user defined criterias.
Ñ CopyPaste can create tab-separated columns from a list of words.
Ñ CopyPaste can swap tab-separated columns.

Improvements:
Ñ If you click the pencil button on the palette CopyPaste comes to the
front. This might be faster than going to the Dock.
Ñ CopyPaste now implements the new Ruler from Richard Law. This offers a
more intuitive access to paragraph and style formatting.
Ñ CopyPaste now has one Toolbar for all windows thereby saving space in each
window.

Bugfixes:
Ñ The key command to decrease left paragraph space
(control-option-command-L) was broken and is fixed now.
Ñ The key command to open the CopyPaste help (command-?) was broken and is
fixed now.

Subject: [*] CopyPaste-X 1.3 - Multiple Clipboards for Mac OS X

This version of CopyPaste-X is internationalized. It runs native in English, French,
German, and Japanese, with online documentation in each language.

The original built in Macintosh clipboard can only copy one item at a
time. CopyPaste-X is a natural software evolution which augments the original
clipboard with supernormal clipboard abilities.

1. Clipboard Extender: 10 clipboards, easily accessed via palette, drag & drop,
Dock-menu or keyboard.
2. Clip Sets: Any number of sets of ten clipboards can be created and accessed
easily via the Clip Sets menu at the bottom of the Clipboard Extender
palette.
3. Clip Archive: Copied text is appended to an archive file on disk.
4. Clipboard Recorder: Remember the last 200 clips copied via the standard cmd+C.
5. Clip Revolver: Lets you paste one clip after another.
6. Clipboard Editor: Edit the clipboard contents. Open and edit any text file. Double
click any clipboard to open the editor.

Each clipboard can be remembered through restarts. CopyPaste-X is the
clipboard the way it should be and is hundreds of times more useful.
CopyPaste also has many other features that help eliminate tedious,
repetitive work and increase your ability to get the job done.

Version 1.3

* The key command to decrease left paragraph space
(control-option-command-L) was broken and is fixed now.
* The key command to open the CopyPaste help (command-?) is fixed now.
* If you click the pencil button on the palette CopyPaste comes to the

Sputnix v0.8.2B - 2002.05.02

freeware - not affiliated with Audiogalaxy in any way, shape, or form

www.biggerplanet.com
sputnix@biggerplanet.com

_Features_
- probably most compliant AudioGalaxy client for Mac OS X using 0.608
protocol
- 100% Cocoa -- support for long file names, and all that good stuff
- resumable downloads
- multiple simultaneous downloads

_What's New_
- actually removed localizations; .8B would behave badly (crash or just
not work) for users of German, Dutch, Swedish, and French systems
- uploads requests are no-longer case sensitive; previously Sputnix
could fail to upload a song because the request's capitalization was
different than the actual file
- added Customize Toolbar option to the window menu (although any
toolbar in Mac OS X is customizable my control-clicking on it)
- added "Pro" feature set:
- added iTunes integration; Sputnix can automatically add newly
downloaded songs to a selected iTunes playlist
- added playlists drawer; you can drag and drop transfers in Sputnix
onto individual iTunes playlists
- added autofiling; Sputnix can now attempt to automatically file new
downloads in folders named for the artist; "loose matching" option
allows for phonetic matching of artists' names
- added autofiling window; you can also autofile the contents of
arbitrary folders
- Sputnix now makes a temporary copy of active transfers when previewing
them (some users had found that previewing active transfers could result
in corrupt MP3s)
- added extensive help system
- added pro features welcome window
- transfer log should update more quickly when a transfer begins or ends
- added Sputnix Database window which shows you all the songs Sputnix
has found and how they've been reported to Audiogalaxy
- added option to change the location of the cache folder
- password is now sent to Audiogalaxy in all-lowercase (Audiogalaxy
passwords are always lowercase, no matter what you entered when you
signed up)

This is the Japanese version of the URL Manager Pro package.

URL Manager Pro is the professional bookmark manager for use with the
web browsers Explorer, Netscape, OmniWeb, iCab, Opera and Mozilla. It

main features of URL Manager Pro are:

1. Integration. You have access to your bookmarks from your browser's
menu bar and from the Mac OS X Dock.

the printer. You merely need a hub. Actually, I would recommend one of the
Netgear series that act as both a firewall and a 10/100 router. I strongly
recommend the firewall for anyone who is online on anything other than a
modem.

If the 320 has a serial connection, you should be able to find a USB to
Serial connector on-line, alas PowerPrint seems to have disappeared from the
market. However, I would recommend an Ethernet to Appletalk adaptor via a
hub/firewall.

Subject: Ice cube stops fan in Powerbook Titanium G4

I have a Powerbook Titanium G4. It has a very noisy and
irritating fan, which goes on when the computer gets too
hot. I have, however, found a solution. I put a large
rectangular ice-cube (in waterproof coating) below the
G4. This stops the fan rapidly and lasts for several
hours. Then I replace it with a new ice cube from the
freezer, and the old ice-cube goes into the freezer
for re-freezing.

Subject: Toast vs CDEverywhere

I am about to buy a CD burner (probably Yamaha) and want software so I can
write CDs which can be read on Mac, PC, Unix, and Linux. I have gotten a
CD written using Toast 5 Titanium which almost does it all, and I have
heard recommendations for CDEverywhere.

These are to be data CDs with names up to 20 characters. The only problem
with the Toast-written CD is that AAA.txt when viewed on Unix has
executable file permissions, so that if one brings it up in a file manager
and clicks on it, it bombs as the system does not know how to "execute"
it. (This can be gotten around.)

I am told that Toast does not write hybrid disks -- that is, I can fit up
to 600 MB on the disk, rather than having 300 MB max but written in two
formats. True for CDEverwhere as well?

Thanks in advance,

Arthur Snoke

Subject: Why does an Applescript work on MacOS8 but freeze on OS9?

The following lines...

set myPick to {choose file} --returns an alias
set myInfo to info for myPick --info for is in Standard Additions

...work OK on OS 8, but on OS 9 the whole system freezes with the
rotating disc cursor (not rotating) at the second line. Force quit has
no effect. I have to use control+command+power to reboot.

What am I doing wrong? What's the correct syntax/expression to use under OS9/OSX?

Thanks,
Michael Khaw
