Subject: [*] Bookmarksman-Japanese Version

File name : Bookmarksman1.40J
Freeware
Size : 1800k(Stuffed)

(A) New features

(1) Jpeg and Gif images can be collected from web pages via drag/drop, which
can then be sorted as well as stored.

(2) "Find" can be executed by simply pressing the "Return Key."

(3) There are now two window sizes to choose from. The compact window is
ideal as a web companion. It can, however, readily be switched to a larger
window where more serious database management can be conducted. The windows
"snap" back to their respective window-sizes, which are pre-designated and
yet adjustable.

(B) What "Bookmarksman" does:

Bookmarksman, a URL management database solution, helps keep track of web
browser bookmarks that tend to have the nasty habit of haphazardly
accumulating into something unmanageably humongous.

(1) Bookmarks can be coherently organized and utilized as a valuable source
of information.
(2) The powerful Search feature makes it possible to retrieve relevant
bookmarks that are otherwise easily misplaced.
(3) Search results are displayed in list view.
(4) Duplicate URLs are easily extracted and deleted at a stroke.
(5) Bookmarks can be sorted in number of ways.
(6) Drag/Drop-aware.
(7) You can attach notes to bookmarks, which will later be put to use as
keywords in the search mode.
(8) E-mail addresses as well as URLs can be stored.
(9) One click opens a web page or an e-mail sheet.
(10) The last-visited time/date for each bookmark is remembered and the
bookmarks can be viewed as history.
(11) You can "flag" your favorite bookmarks.

object of the game is to get rid of all your cards before your opponent

exceeds the game limit; the winner is the player with the lowest score.

CrazyEights features:

* a variety of options to tailor game play and appearance)
* save and load game capability
* on-line help, including description of the rules of play
* tracking of your win percentage

Version 2.1 adds features for customizing fonts, controlling the mouse click
between turns, plus other miscellaneous enhancements.

CrazyEights requires OS X 10.1.3 with Java 1.3.1 Update 1.

CrazyEights is distributed as shareware. You may try out the game for 15

Subject: [*] DropDMG-1.6.dmg

DropDMG is the easiest way to create ".dmg" and ".img" disk images on
Mac OS X. Create a compressed image by dragging and dropping. DropDMG
supports the zlib, ADC, and NDIF compressed formats; as well as
read-only and read-write images. It can encrypt images and post-process
them with GZip or MacBinary. It also supports segmented images and
images that auto-open when you mount them. All the options are
available from AppleScript. DropDMG is robust and has no trouble
handling folders with spaces, quotation marks, dollar signs, or other
"special" characters. It even works without Mac OS X's optional "BSD
Subsystem" installation. Full documentation is included in PDF and
Apple Help formats.

New in this Version:

- Option to make images auto-open. When you mount an image, its
window opens in the Finder. Previously, there might have been no
visual indication that the image had mounted, depending on how
the user's Finder preferences were set.

- The status window has a contextual menu for quickly changing
common preferences.

- You can optionally set the names of the image file and volume,
instead of having them based on the name of the folder.

- Documentation is now included in Apple Help (HTML) format as well
as PDF.

- Contains a menu command for clearing the log.

- No longer fails when copying files for which the user only has
read privileges.

- The radio buttons for selecting where the image will be saved are
no longer linked to the image destination text field. That is,
tabbing of the text field no longer affects the radio button's
selection, making the preferences more friendly for keyboard
navigators.

ffmpegX 0.0.2
Video/audio encoder/decoder for DivX, MPEG, VCD, AC3...

(c) Copyright 2002 Major, [email protected]
http://homepage.mac.com/major4
Freeware released under GPL license (included with the software).

ffmpegX is a Mac OS X GUI to ffmpeg the "hyper fast video and audio
encoder" (http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net). It can decode MPEG1, MPEG2,
MPEG4 (aka DIVX4/5), VOB, AVI MS-MPEG4 V3 (aka DIVX 3), WAV, Real Audio,
H263(+) (aka RealVideo 1.0), PGM, YUV, PPM, AC3, PCM8/16 bits,
mulaw/Alaw, SUN AU format, MPEG audio layer 2, MPEG audio layer 3, MJPEG
and even more formats. This GUI provides quick transcoding to DivX,
MPG1, MP2, MP3 & AC3. You can i.e. convert DVD video to DivX, DivX to
VCD or XVCD, and DVD to VCD or XVCD. Includes a bitrate calculator and
an automatic size calculator. When encoding to MPG1 it can generate
.bin/.cue files for instant burning with Cdrdao or Toast (drop the .bin
into VCD window). Be sure to install the latest AppleScript update
(through Software Update).

System Requirements
- Mac OS X 10.1.5
- Use Software update to install latest AppleScript update.
- To playback DivX, use codecs from www.3ivx.com or www.divx.com.

What's new in 0.0.2?
Various GUI fixes. New defaults for advanced settings tab (and new
quantizer defaults). Added combo boxes for audio bitrate, audio sampling
rate, video framerate. Leaving size fields blank will default them to
640x352. Leaving audio bitrate and audio sampling rate blank will
default them to 128 kbps and 44100 Hz. Added Audio settings > Track to
select the source audio track to be encoded (to be used in case of
multitrack audio source material). Set MPEG-1 format to ISO packet size
output for VCD use. Video bitrate calculator correctly handles case of
video encoding only (ie when "Encode audio" is not checked). New
'Post-processing' tab allows for additional processing to be done on
encoded output. Current available option is converting a DivX file into
Mpeg1 and then post-processing the Mpeg1 file into a VCD image
(compatible with Toast Video CD mode and with cdrdao). vcdgear 1.6 by
Dracore has been packed in for mpg2bin conversion. French GUI
translation by gorgar. Italian GUI translation by the_pappardella. New
icon by Justin Woods. Thanks to Henri Mason for collaboration & support.

Subject: [*] MacPipes X 1.0.0

MacPipes X 1.0.0

What's MacPipes?
MacPipes is a classic arcade puzzle in which you have to build a
pipeline of required length connecting pipe parts within a time limit.
The new version of MacPipes requires a PowerPC processor and runs on
Mac OS 8.6/9.x with CarbonLib and natively on Mac OS X. Since it is a
complete rewriting of the original game, I decided to add a 'X' to
the name and restart version numbering from 1.0.0

System requirements: PowerPC processor, Mac OS 8.6 or later.
For Mac OS 8.6 and 9.x only: 3 MBytes free memory, CarbonLib 1.1 or
later, Sound Manager 3.0 or later.

Recommended configuration: Mac OS X 10.1 or later.

What's new in MacPipes 1.0.0

* The game code has been completely rewritten from scratch in
C/C++ (it was originally written in Pascal).
* The game now requires a PowerPC processor and runs on Mac OS
8.6/9.x with CarbonLib and natively on Mac OS X.
* All standard application interface elements have been highly improved.
* The game runs normally in a window, but you can switch to
full screen (and back) at any time, even during a game.

This is the Japanese version of the MoonMenu package.

MoonMenu renders a small picture of the moon in its current phase on
your computer's screen in your menubar next to the clock. MoonMenu also
comes with an application that will calculate lunar data for any given
date!

MoonMenu draws the current phase of the moon in the menubar. The menu,
when selected, reveals the following information:

* A textual description of the moon phase
* Illumination percentage
* The moon's age in days
* Current lunation number
* Farmers' Almanac names for the current lunation
* Upcoming quarter predictions
* Automatic "blue moon" detection that actually colors the moon blue
* Sun rise/set times
* Twilight rise/set times
* Moon rise/set times

The MoonMenu application is a small but powerful panel that allows you
to investigate all of the information about the moon for any date and
time between the years 1923 and 2039. It also controls the settings for
the tint of the moon so you can optimize it for your monitor. There're
even built in definitions for the items listed above... just one click
away.

Version 2 is now fully compatible with Mac OS X!

Textation 1.1

http://www.feelorium.com

Textation is an easy to use QuickTime text track editor. Simply point,
click and type the text needed to display, without the need to manipulate
text descriptors manually and type time codes one by one. Textation can
also check the validity of time codes while you input data.

Textation also supports creations of Chapter Tracks and HREF Tracks, as
well as subtitle/caption tracks. It is easy to create these types of
tracks in seconds using Textation.

You can also preview the resulting movie on the same project window by
just clicking a switch.

What's New
- This version lets you import a text file into a new text track. This is
useful for creating subtitle/caption track of a long movie.
- This version adds Automatic Preview function.
- This version adds steppers next to various text input boxes.
- This version adds two new menu items: Half Size, Double Size.
- This version adds a new preference item: Set dimensions of new track
same as reference movie.
- You can disable Textation to resize window when setting the reference
movie.
- You can input sample text on the project window as well as on the Sample
Info window.
- On the Sample Info window, the track info tab view will appear only if
Override Track Info is checked.
- When adding new sample, Textation will base on the current movie time to
insert the newly created sample into the correct row.
- After updating the preview movie, Textation restores the movie time and
sets the movie active. You can then use keyboard to control the movie
play-back, for example, press space-bar to start playing.
- This version fixes an incompatibility with QuickTime 6 Public Preview 1.

System Requirements
- Mac OS X 10.1

Author: Ton Brand
Company: Tonbrand Software
License: Shareware USD 22.00
Mac OS: 7.6.1 - 8.1 (68K)
Mac OS: 8.1 - 9.x (PPC)
Abstract:
Web Site Maestro is a useful tool for those who update their web site(s)
regularly, especially for professional web masters with large sites. But
it's also very valuable for the amateur with a smaller web site who wants to
make sure that his or her site is always in top condition.
It checks your web pages for dangling tags, missing attributes and broken
links, and - most importantly - it makes your pages load faster by
optimizing both HTML and script code.
The program features Smart Handling which means that only the pages that you
have changed are processed, i.e checked and/or optimized.
Web Site Maestro helps you keep organized by creating a duplicate site
folder for the optimized files. An added benefit is that it leaves your
original files untouched.
Uploading your optimized pages to a remote server is done with one
mouseclick.
Drag and drop is supported.
Web Site Maestro comes in four models: Mac Classic - PPC and 68K, Mac OS X
and Windows. With this you have the PPC model.

Subject: Printing to postscript files without postscript

I have noted (using Mac OS 9.2) that if I disconnect the
Ethernet cable, I can still print to postscript files. If,
however, I select a non-postscript printer in the chooser,
I am unable to switch back to priting postscript again when
I have no connection to a postscript printer.

This seems kind of silly. Since I can print to a postscript
file without having any printer connected, why should I not
be allowed this after switching temporarily to a
non-postscript printer?
