Postby Sawtoothdude » December 9th, 2007, 9:18 pm

I have PowerBook 1400cs Running OS 8.1 that i am trying to get running with an Orinoco WaveLAN Silver card. I have tried the Version 6 drivers but to no avail, Is there any other software i can use?

Is your wireless network encrypted? Have you manually typed in the SSID in the WaveLAN control panel? Does it give you any errors? Are you able to set the AppleTalk and TCP/IP control panels to the WaveLAN card?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

What are your TCP/IP settings? Is your router set to distribute DHCP? If so, is your PowerBook gtting a good IP address (like 192.168.1.x) or a self-assigned, which would be like 67.234.something.blah
