If it is a .iso or a .dmg, try burning to a cd/dvd, but I imagine you'll have to do that on an OS X machine. I don't remember much about OS 9, but I don't think it ever featured using disk images natively.

More information would be helpful.
OS 9 handles disk images natively.

Try dropping it on Stuffit Expander, that usually does the trick. It sounds like you have deeper issues or the .img file is wanky, Rebuild the Desktop, Zap the PRAM.

Reinstall Disk Copy:

Alternate Utility:

ShrinkWrap

I'm not at my computer, so I don't have all my references - but that should get you in the ballpark.

The VersionTracker link is dead (of course, most of them are) Here is a current link to Allume's ftp site:

If you find a way to mount .dmg images in Mac OS 9, please share the details. I looked long and hard for a way to mount .dmg images in OS 9 and came up with nothing.
