Mac Classic

Post by macuser77 » January 10th, 2008, 4:27 pm

I have a Classic a friend gave me a while back, it seemed to work fine with the exception of an opertaing system Those I can find. Anyone know where I can get my hand on some of the 3.5" disks that worked in thee machines, I think they could only hold 1.8 mb if I recall correctly.

I think any floppy will work, you may have to reformat it though.

I don't think there is such a thing as 1.8 MB floppies, either. 1.44 MB are the common "High Density" floppies, although they hold slightly less than that when formatted. This is what you want for your Macintosh Classic.

You can find some at most computer places like Fry's or Micro Center for dirt cheap (like 25 cents per disk). Or you can find bulk packages here:

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

I have seen them in both Staples and Best Buy recently. I picked up a large lot of TDK disks 2 years ago on eBay. They are out there still.
Anything posted by me is not to be taken seriously.
