looking for some advice here.
going to buy a "new" machine and am down to deciding between a sawtooth with a 1ghz sonnet upgrade and an 800mhz quicksilver.
all else being equal (same price, i've plenty of ram and hard drive to stuff them with) which would be the better value?
thanks

For the same price, with all other things similar, I would say the Quicksilver. It has a faster AGP bus, probably faster video attached to that bus, faster motherboard, and certainly has faster networking.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

Is this a single or dual 800 MHz QuickSilver? Dual 800 will be way more useable than a single 1 GHz.
For either dual or single, this list shows all the upgrades available for both.
