We have several G# powerbooks we use for testing. We need a way to get the data files off of the computer. My current problem is a G3 running OS 8.5. It has a cd drive but no floppy or zip drive. I tried to burn them onto a cd but got a "disk locked" error message. Can I do some sort of connection to another computer - what would I need? Is there anywhere I can get old floppy drives or zip drives to replace the cd drive?
I know this old technology but I would appreciate any help you can give me!

Yes, there are floppy disk drives for all the PowerBook G3s, and zip drives too. But why not attach the computer to a network via it's ethernet port in the rear, and get files off that way?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
