Question about Powerbook 500 batteries

Post by Old Fart » March 6th, 2009, 3:33 pm

Hi all, I have a very noobish question: If I were to get a Powerbook 500 series laptop without any battery, exactly what kind of battery would I need to get for it? I know it's nimh but that's all I know. Is it some proprietary kind or just any old rechargeable AA pack? Does the Powerbook charge them itself or must the batteries be charged externally?

You must get batteries specific to your PowerBook model. In your case, you'd need to get something like this. The PowerBook will charge the batteries itself.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
