how to set a mac network

Post by immagine09 » October 7th, 2015, 1:32 pm

hi, I'm tryng arraysync but I'm unable to set the network between two imac running macos x 10.10.5.
I'm on a university LAN; two imacs are connected and I can even share screen between them, but still I do not understand how to make them work together.
Both are equipped with a second screen. First mac (server) is IMMAGINE-07; second mac (client) is IMMAGINE-09. Attached a picturescreen about the sharing screen state.
thanks

I noticed in your screenshots that the WiFi menu icon shows internet sharing to be turned on. You must disconnect/disable all network interfaces besides the primary one you plan to use, otherwise ArraySync may get confused as to which network is your “primary” network. You must connect both to the same external network only (like to an ethernet hub or a wireless hub). Let me know if this helps at all.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
