Linux on Mac mini

Post by hhsargent » September 2nd, 2008, 12:21 pm

I've been reading a lot about Linux lately. I have a relatively unused
Mac mini 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo and would like to know if I can
get a Linux distribution that will install on that machine?

Because it is an Intel-based Mac, you are virtually unlimited in your choices. Ubuntu is a recently very popular distribution, due to it's user friendliness and ease of installation. I'd have a look over there.

As far as whether or not you should use Linux, I would probably vote no. A 1.5 GHz Intel Mini is more than capable of running Leopard and most software you need.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
