Why don't you want to burn it as a CD?
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

I don't use CD-RW that munch, but don't you have to burn it like a CD and you can erase stuff when it starts to get full.

On a Windows machine, you could use it a as a multisession CD, and effectively use it as though it were a floppy. I'm not aware of a modern Mac OS X implementation, though in the Classic OS there was WriteCD-RW: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macos/11957.
