I am having a problem with my ichat. Every time I try to log on it repeats the process multiple times till aim says I have logged in to many times in the aloud amount of time. It seems to keep connecting and disconnecting repeatedly I am not sure what to do. I can sign in on other with an aim client but my ichat wont allow me to stay connected

You might want to try trashing your iChat preferences. Go to your home folder, by choosing "Home" from the "Go" menu in the Finder. Double click "Library," then "Preferences." Then, in the search bar type in "ichat" and make sure "Preferences" is chosen below that, not "This Mac." You should probably see four or five files. Select them all, and drag to the trash. Empty the trash.

Make sure iChat isn't running when you do this. When you re-launch iChat, you will have to re-setup your accounts, as if you launched iChat for the first time. Your password and real names of contacts should still be fine, as those are stored elsewhere.

Be sure to let us know if that works.
