Virtual Machine Environment to run multiple Mac OS

Post by tanerbayram » June 18th, 2008, 4:18 pm

Is anybody familiar with a software that allows users to run multiple Mac operating systems on a Mac?

Windows has the VMWare virtual machines solution but I am unable to find something for Macs.

Any suggestions?

I do not believe such a thing exists, for running the Mac OS. You can, however, run multiple copies of Windows and/or Linux using various products available on the market, such as Parallels.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

Try an application called Virtual Box by Sun Microsystems, it's free and an excellent alternative to Parallels, it's recently had an update that allows you create OSX virtual machines. Very good application I use it to run windows XP for my flight sims, and I installed virtual box on that and had osx running full screen in a windows environment also running full screen, pointless but I did it to see if it worked.

Bit more info than needed but I hope this helps.
