I'm sure there must a be simple solution out there some where, i just need some help finding it. I'm in the process of setting up a back up and archiving system for a small creative business... easy enough. But can anyone suggest some software that will scan a drive and create a searchable database so that I can find my old files again.
thanks

Re: Archive
Spotlight in Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard should be able to do that, although I'm not entirely sure if there is some way to "force" it to build the database... I always figured it just did that by itself.
It might not work with PC formatted drives.

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
