iMac RAM

Post by skasmo » January 6th, 2009, 2:38 pm

I currently have the 2.8Ghz 24 inch iMac. Could anyone tell me what I could max the ram out at. I currently have 2gigs but may upgrade if more than 4gigs is possible.

No, it's not, but 4 GB is still a 100% upgrade from what you have now.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

If you have the late 2008 model the maximum RAM is 4.0GB, if you have the early 2009 model the maximum RAM is 8.0GB. :)

I'm not exactly sure but he either has a late 2007 or an early 2008 model. He'd have to check his System Profiler stats and find out exactly what he has.
