BASIC TYPING SOFTWARE

WITH GRAND CHILDREN PUSHING ME INTO THIS CENTURY, I NEED TO LOCATE A VERY BASIC APPLE MAC ORIENTED "HOW TO TOUCH TYPE. TRIED "MAVIS" WHATEVER ON OLD PC, AND I CAN'T EVEN PASS THE FIRST TEST ON SPEED. AM NOW TIRED OF THE SAME CAT & MOUSE TYPING TESTS. I STILL BELIEVE 80+ IS EDUCATABLE BUT ??? TRIED WEB TO LOCATE AND BECAME TRASH FLOODED !
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

If you're comfortable with Mavis products you can get the Mac version here:

All typing tutor programs are largely the same. The methodology for teaching the proper typing technique was standardized decades ago. You'll find basically the same routines in every program.

Also, please do not type in ALL CAPS.

Thanks for response and suggestion. I need to avoid Mavis since her methodology seemed to impatient for an "aged" slow typing learner (age 81 that is). Ar there other programs appearing "more patient" and/or diverse in the training drills?

hi ive been touch typing for about 3 years and in the begin i wasn't doing very well at all then i came across a program called kaz it can be used in either (mac) (windows) and my speed and accurancy has come on so well i carnt
believe it myself i type at 90 wpm now i was going 32 with errors and i was going to give up i would recommend kaz to anyone just google - kaz touch typing you can buy it on disk to i hope these helps you:):)

Too bad "kaz" didn't teach you anything about the Shift key.
