MacBook Air
I just got a new 13" MBA with the Core i5 1.7 GHz proc, 256 GB SSD, 4 GB RAM, and I'm just loving it!I transferred all my info manually as my other machine was a 13" Black MacBook, circa 2008. The outboard HD I had was powered through the Firewire port which is just as dead as AppleWorks these days. Does anybody have any suggestions for accessories and care of this baby?

Re: MacBook Air
I don't think FireWire is really dead... yet... the problem is just that you have a MacBook Air, which has limited space for ports. I'm pretty sure every other Mac has FireWire still.
So far Thunderbolt devices are pretty limited but growing. At this time you can get plenty of large RAID external storage devices.

I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.
