Free Backup / Copy Software for Mac

I'm trying to find a free and simple application that will allow me to "copy" from my Mac to an external drive.
I use Time Machine to do official "backup" solutions, but I'm looking for functionality to allow me to copy my working folders to an external drive. I have a Seagate GoFlex Pro that I have a good bit of data on from previous jobs, work, etc. I'd like to be able to "copy" (incrementally if possible) my current working drive on my Mac to that drive as sort of a "working backup". I don't want to have to boot up a "backup" application that has proprietary filing to find my data...just look at it as I would in Finder.
Anyone know of such a solution? I know that Western Digital used to have a "sync" application they gave away with some of their portable drives (which "copied" rather than backing up) the data.
Thanks,
Bob
