Exporting Slideshows in iPhoto '11 Using OS X Lion

As of 21 Jul 12 I have tried the following in trying to resolve the problem of exporting slideshows in iPhoto '11:




Problem: Unable to export slideshows in iPhoto '11 -- export pane pops up and after choosing and trying all options one at a time to include custom exporting the pane disaapears after a few seconds; I do not see the usual progression line indicating export is taking place.

My System: I am running OS X Lion Version 10.7.4 on a MacBook Pro purchased in late 2007. I have run Software Update and the latest versions of the operating system, iPhone and iMovie are installed.

What I have Tried So Far to Resolve Problem:
1.Used Disk Utility to repair permissions.
2.Created a new iPhone library (option key and iPhoto icon launched at same time).
3.Run all the repair and rebuild options in iPhoto (option and command keys and iPhoto launched at same time).
4.Used MacKeeper to do smart uninstall of iPhoto and iMovie.
5.Reinstalled all programs from purchased DVD iLife '11 disk.
6.Updated software again using Software Updater.
7.Repeated steps 1 and 3.

Help!

Bottom line is I still am unable to export slideshows in iPhoto. Frustrating. I am a grandpa who loves doing slideshows and movies for the family.
