Backlight isn't working; a 17" MacBook Pro LCD replacement
I just replaced the screen on my 17" MacBook pro after having suffered some unidentifiable misfortune to the original. I installed the brand-new out-of-the-box screen and made all of the connections, and put the mighty macbook pro 17" back together...and the screen didn't light up. The video card is working; if I shine a light on the screen I can see the desktop and folders, but the backlight isn't working. Did I miss something? Did the inverter get fried in the misadventure too? How will I know? Ideas anyone?
