A forum I belong to has poker , however not available for Mac . To be able to play on Mac I would have to install one of the following

Boot camp
Wine
Crossover, or parallels
Any of these recommended, or should I pass.

Get Oracle VirtualBox http://virtualbox.org

It's free, easy to use, and backed by a tech industry giant. Skip the rest, especially Wine and Boot Camp.

Here's some screenshots: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Screenshots

I use parallel 8 and run windows 7 & 8 no problems -- windows starts & stops faster and has fewer problems! I have industrial programs windows only haven't had a problem one. cost aprox $50 --excellent support.

You can get all that for free with Oracle VirtualBox. There's really no point shelling out money for Parallels or Crossover.

You want this one: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... 04-OSX.dmg

You also need your own copy of Windows (or Linux) to install into it.

Yes, you must supply your own copy of Microsoft Windows.
