Driver for 2nd Wave Firewire to SCSI adapter or SCSI on a G5

I am trying to run my Imacon scanner with my PowerMac G5 and a 2nd Wave Firewire to SCSI adapter, as it seems impossible to find a SCSI card for the G5.
Does anybody out there in cyberspace know something about how to get a driver for the adapter? The one I hhave on a CD seems to be too old for the job.
