I have a mac 7600 with a sonnet g3 400 crescendo card. I used os 9 helper to get 9.2.2 running on the machine and it works great except that if i run microsoft excell 98 it installs a bunch of extensions that i have to remove to get the machine to startup again. I can trash the microsoft extensions and it weill boot right up. any ideas?
i needed 9.2.2 to run the software extension for the radeon 9200 graphics card
I will get the file names that i have to remove and post latter as well as total ram
thanks

Honestly you should just hunt down Office 2001, shouldn't be that hard to find for just pennies.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

well I stared to install 2001 and low and behold it would not start up.
I was starting to think the hd was bad booted up system works and everything checked out ok. so what the heck.
after much swapping parts etc i found where a small friend cut thru 1 wire one on the outside "the striped wire" of the scsi ribbon cable. So i soldered in a small jumper to reconnect the wire and joy everything works great!! and fast after everything was running i found 2001 already installed. so far all is well. I have been getting a lot of type 3 errors so i up the memory to the program and it appears to be working
