cd rw the big floppy

is it possible to format a cd rw and use it like a big floppy. I know this can be done on a wintel, machine. But i have looked through toast etc and i am not sure it can be done on a mac how can this be!

I don't think this is possible. Macs haven't shipped wit optical drives in many years since the USB stick has become cheap and ubiquitous. I would recommend just buying a USB stick.
You can get a 32gb on Amazon for $7.
