iPhone goes blank during calls

I have a iPhone 3 with latest os updated. After update when i dial a number my screen goes black and i cant access the options or hang up. IT briefly gets a light with the options and after goes black. The Call works but cant switch IT Off or put IT on mute or speaker. I can hang up only from lock switch. I am so dissapointed i only bought IT 2 weeks ago.

If you fell you have a software glitch going on related to your update, you might want to back up any important data, then completely restore your iPhone to "factory settings" via iTunes.

When I had my iPhone 3G. It was so horrible. During a call...it would go black. You'd have to reboot the phone to get it back to normal. That happened so many times. I had it for a year. I hated when I called a 1-800 number and the screen would go black....I couldn't touch the number I needed to select lol

If your screen is too warm it goes black during a call to stop you cutting yourself off. Make sure you face the touch screen away from you in your pocket or keep it out of sunlight. It took me ages to realise my heat sensitive screen was getting too warm.
