Aren't most of the news apps free? Al Jazeera English and RT even let you stream their channels for free to your iPhone just as if you were watching them on TV.

Words with friends is great, but handbrake for converting for my apple tv is brilliant! It will do most formats to all your apple devices and it's free!

It's between temple run and kindle. Kindle because it is an easy way of reading lots of books without carrying books with me everywhere. Temple run because it's fun and addictive.

Office for Mac: It allows me to remain compatible with all of my clients and uses familiar Office paradigms and functionality, it's all extremely well documented and it has RDP connectivity to Windows machines. There are a lot of Mac apps that are disappointing (Skype is so much better on Windows), but Office for Mac has everything that I need in those types of apps.

This is actually an iPhone/iOS app thread, but honestly iWork > Office in most ways.

The app I use most often is Mail, but my favourite app/game would have to be "Random Heroes" just because it is challenging (after a while) and addictive..

Olivetree Bible App, because you can add so many references, maps, Bibles and books to this app.

My favorite apps are cut the rope,fruit ninja, and they are the best games. on cut the rope u just have to avoid obstacles and try to get this piece of candy into a monsters mouth. on fruit ninja these pieces of fruit are thrown up from the bottom of the screen and u just slice them with your finger but u cant slice the bombs.
