Home Button for the new iPod Touch

I'm having a little trouble finding the home button settings because I know that the iPod Touch generation 3 ( the old one) did have it because my friend can change her home button settings. And is there even home button settings in the new one ? Thanks for taking the time to submit a comment to help me :)
