Photo Albums on iPad

I want to be able to move pics around on my ipad into new albums so I can vary the "Digital Picture Frame" show but it seems I can only do this via my PC. Any clues from anyone as to how to get around this please?

This sort of functionality has thus far been missing in iOS, but iOS 5 brings it finally as Apple pushes a new strategy of making iDevices stand alone from desktop computers.
