Flash player for iPad

I'm being asked for adobe flash but cannot download what is the replacement for ipad

There is no Adobe Flash for iPad or any other iOS device. Adobe has discontinued Flash for mobile platforms.

OK, that leads to another question. A couple of years ago Apple said that Flash Player was the #1 cause of trouble with Apple computers, and then Apple said that it was backing the new HTML5 standard, as a replacement for Flash Player. And so, what is the current status of HTML5?

I use Puffin browser it handles flash sites very well. does that help? there are other 3rd party apps that support flash (browsers mainly)

Thanks, but I have serious reservations about using Flash Player on my newer Apple computers, no matter how it could be supported. In fact, I signed on to this board, Info-Mac, BECAUSE of the troubles I experienced after downloading Flash Player onto a 2011 Mac OS X Lion. Maybe the newer Apple computers can handle Flash Player better than those of a couple of years ago, but I am not about to take any chances, thank you.

Sorry I was referring to ipad solution that I use everyday. not a MAC OS X solution... Flash is a pain in the backside
