I have problems with Microsoft Office/ Word on my Imac . I was quite happy
until recently when I reinstalled the system software .I seem to have
corrupted the Word setup as it won't run . Each time I open Word it plays a
high pitched note , tells me I havent enough memory , which I reckon I have,
and generally stops everything .
I reinstalled Microsoft Office 98 from CD but the same situation persists.
At this stageI suppose have two versions of office prowling my HD .
Any ideas ? I do not have the Office Disk in my possession as i gave it
back to the owner

I have Office on a Power Pc 7200/75 have forgotten how to use my ethernet
crossover cable .

This is the Japanese version of the Holiday Lights package.

"You must have this file on your computer if you at all cherish the holiday season."

ZDNet Mac User: 5 mice (perfect rating)
Tucows: 5 cows (highest rating)

Screensaver, music box, desktop enhancement!

Holiday Lights decorates your Macintosh for the holidays.

It's an entertaining application that places flashing light bulbs around
the edge of your screen, as though a (well-insulated) elf crawled into
your computer through the disk drive slot and stapled them there. The
lights flash in the background while you continue to work, so it's not
just a screen saver.

The "bulbs" include standard Christmas tree lights, Valentine's Day
hearts, Thanksgiving turkeys, chili peppers, shamrocks, dreidels,
stockings, holly, snowmen, happy faces, and more -- and you can create
your own bulbs using ResEdit or a similar program.

For even more seasonal joy, Holiday Lights includes cheery background
music (you can add your own MIDI files) as well as built-in festive
screen savers to put you in the holiday spirit.

Holiday Lights is an application, not a system extension, so it won't
cause extension conflicts. It is compatible with System 7.1 or later,
including Mac OS 8, Mac OS 9.X and Mac OS X (classic environment).

Version 5.2: Added "Old Glory" bulb for US independence day.

Subject: [*] SpeedApp 2.2.1J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the SpeedApp package.

5 Cows (highest rating) at Tucows!

SpeedApp is the fastest way for to run an application on PowerMacintosh
computers! Using a shortcut, you can call from the Finder this pretty
utility (similar to Sherlock), typie an application name (or a
portion of it) in the main window and press the Enter/Return key on your
keyboard to quickly and easily launch the application you want to use.
Thanks to SpeedApp you don't need to touch your mouse for all these
steps. Using SpeedApp you will not need to open folders, or create
aliases anywhere to quickly and easily access your applications. Thanks to
SpeedApp you can run every application installed in your Macintosh
without needing to remember where it is!

System Requirements:

SpeedApp requires a Power-PC based Mac with Mac OS 8.5 or higher
installed and 2MB of available ram. SpeedApp also can be configured by
its extention, which allows pre Mac OS 9 users to configure Fkeys to run
it automatically. SpeedApp INIT also allow the Mac OS users to configure
a different keyboard shortcut than Fkeys.

What's new in version 2.2.1:
*Added in the preferences window a new Keyboard shortcut configuration
option, (available only for Mac OS 9 and newer), which allow the user to choose
their favourite FKey shortcut via the Finder instead of using the old SpeedApp INIT
method.
*It is now possible to set SpeedApp to be only hidden (instead of quitting)
when launching an application.
*Applications types "APPD" (such as Key Caps) are now treated as every
other application "APPL" and they are listed in the main list.
*Desk accessories "dfil" are now listed too and they can be excluded by
a new preferences window option.
*Fixed a bug in the SpeedApp INIT shortcut display in the preferences window.
*Fixed some minor bugs.

Subject: Apple LaserWriter 360 problem

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem, which only started a few
months ago when I moved my office. My LaserWriter has a grey stripe that
grows to about an inch wide on the left hand side of the page and it's
now expanding into the center of the page. My printer repairman can't
figure it out as it doesn't do it at his site. Never had this problem
til now. Any ideas?

Use Apple's Disk Copy to make a disk image of the file, then use the
'Segment Image' Applescript that is included with Disk Copy to make
segments that can be e-mailed.
