time for an intel mac

Post by madmann » March 10th, 2008, 9:35 pm

well it may be time for a new mac. I have been considering a g5 but why? high cost no upgrade ppc

that leaves the intel macs. but which one. I bought one new mac a II ci in 1992 since then I have been low end mac all the way. The mac pros are not low end enough "cheap" that leaves the imac or the mini

which would you suggest?

i know Dan will have an opinion on this.

Well, you've certainly come to the right conclusion that it's time for an Intel Mac. The iMacs are really wonderful - if you haven't used one in person, I recommend going to an Apple Store right away to do so.

I've been on Intel for over a year now and wouldn't go back.

Well, I mean, they're two totally different classes of computer. If you can afford the iMac and don't have a need for a larger screen, then by all means get the iMac. It's a much better computer.

If you can afford a Mac Pro, the I would recommend that instead... and so on and so forth...
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

The imacs are great, I personally have an intel Mini, which if you already have a good monitor may be a good deal.
