iPhone wifi drops out when not full strength.

Post by jalmdoug » March 1st, 2010, 4:09 pm

Hi
I have been having this problem where my wifi drops out when it is not full strength.
It works when I am close to the router but once I walk away and it drops a bar on the wifi signal it drops out.
My wife's iPhone still works fine and mine also worked fine for the past 15 months.
I have changed the rear panel on my phone because it was cracked. I have tried to reset network settings. I have tried a dull restore. I have tried jailbreaking. I have tried everything.
Does anyone else know what I can do.
Cheers

I mean if I had to guess, you probably damaged some internal part of your iPhone. What you describe really can't be explained any other way, especially if your wife's iPhone works fine in the same exact place.
I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do.

Keep an eye on the battery level. I had this on my 2G when the battery was low
